This morning I got up at 4 am but the baby back to sleep and headed off to the gym. I did a bunch of pullups, dips, and pushups intermixed with jump rope. Then I ran on the treadmill 4.5 miles I had a slower speed as I am conserving energy for The Urbanthlon on Saturday. Then I did an hour “soul cycle” class which combines spinning, yoga and weights. I am not counting todays workout as an RT as in my mind I have to push heavy weights to count it.
Tomorrow my brother and I fly out to chicago and our baby brother is going to pick us up, we are spending the weekend in his dorm on campus so that should bring back a bunch of memories (I thought I was past these days) I am so excited for the race but I am also getting nervous as I have never done anything like this before. I just keep telling myself that if there are 2000 people who can do this then there is no reason why I can’t. I really want to beat my brothers relay time but my brothers girlfriend is a really fast runner so I don’t know. After the race we are going to check out the festival and then head over to the Fire game. I am not really excited for Sunday as we land in Buffalo at midnight and then still have to drive home which is another 2 hours. I probably wont even go to sleep and I will go straight to the gym for 5 am.
